Anna is wearing size 3 diapers now and mostly 6 month clothes. I haven't weighed her since her 4 month doctor appointment, but I would guess she's about 15 pounds now.
Anna got her first tooth this month! It's on the bottom on the left side. Teething hasn't been fun for her (or us!). The teething rings help, but she can't really hold it herself that well, so we have to hold it in her mouth for her. She has a lot harder time falling asleep at night and wakes up more often...like tonight we attempted to put her down five times before she finally stayed asleep...grr. We think it's because of the tooth anyway. It also might have something to do with the fact that she's slept in about five different places in the past month...again, more on that later!
We let her try some solid foods this month. We've given her rice cereal a few times...she mostly just pushed it out with her tongue, but the last time she swallowed a few spoonfuls. We've also let her try some different fruits and vegetables. She's tasted watermelon, broccoli, pear, banana, and cantaloupe. She mostly just sucks the juice out, but she seems to love it!

Anna is really into to grabbing things right now. She grabs everything...her blankets, her pacifier (she pulls it out of her mouth and then tries to put it back in herself...and then cries if she can't...it's really annoying), Mom's nursing cover (she tries to pull it off me...also really annoying!), the pages of books, EVERYTHING. On her little baby play mat, there's an elephant that makes music when you pull on it. She figured that out this month and does it all the time now. She loves that thing!
Let's see what else...Anna is enjoying bath time much more now. We had to move her baths from her bedroom to the bathroom because she was splashing too much, haha. She's almost outgrown her little bathtub...she'll have to move to the big tub soon!

She rolled over from back to front for the first time this month! But she's still hasn't rolled over from front to back again! She just needs to decide she wants to do it and try it...she's totally capable but just doesn't seem to want to do it!
Anna's obsession with her hands is fading and being replaced by an obsession with her feet. Anytime she's on her back she grabs her feet like this...
Ethan and Joshua thought it was funny and wanted to try too!
Anna is still a talker. She is probably the noisiest baby I've ever met. I don't know where she gets it. She is constantly squealing, cooing, and babbling. It's highly entertaining!
Anna LOVES picture books. We read to her almost every night. Her favorite book is definitely Brown Bear, Brown Bear (she loves the bright colors), perhaps closely followed by The Monster at the End of this Book (Daddy does an excellent Grover voice).
Oh! My absolute favorite new thing is that Anna is starting to giggle and laugh! It's so, so adorable! I absolutely love it! I keep trying to get her laughing on video, but she never wants to do it for the camera. But I will keep trying and then post it because it will make your day!
Well that's all for tonight! More posts and pictures to come soon!
oh my gosh! That game is so funny! What a cutie {referring to Anna of course!}
ReplyDeleteIf you upload your videos to Picasa, you can rotate them by clicking the arrows at the bottom. Then when you export the video to a folder on your computer, make sure the box that says, "full movie-no resizing" is checked. {the other option is to only export an image from the video-not cool}. That'll flip your videos the right way. It's what I do at least. :)
Hey thanks, Megan!
