Summer 2015

Why does summer always seem to fly by so quickly?  It is officially fall, so I figured I should finish my post on our summer activities.  Here are just the highlights of our busy summer!

At the end of May, we drove to Mitchell for Haley's graduation.

On our way back to Utah, we stopped in Denver for a few days over Memorial Weekend.

Denver Zoo
Penguins!
Monkeys!
Four generations!

We made lots of visits to the splash pad and pool.

And the park.

June was bittersweet when Paul, Trevor, and I flew to Illinois in for my Grandma's funeral.

We attended the Ireland Family Reunion over the 4th of July.

We enjoyed having my family stay an extra week after the reunion.

We went on three hiking trips to three different waterfalls.

Grotto Falls

Battle Creek Falls
Bridal Veil Falls

We spent a day at the beach at the new reservoir in Springville, UT.

We also visited the Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving Point.

The water table was a hit.

Anna could have played in the "vet's office" all day long.
We attended Trevor's white coat ceremony as he began his first year of med school at the University of Utah.

And last, but not least, we went camping in Colorado with the Lontines over Labor Day weekend.

Paul wasn't too thrilled about sitting on the four-wheeler
Anna loved riding them though!
Can you tell Derek's face is covered in dirt from four-wheeling?
Cutest camper around!

March & April

Here I am playing catch-up again!  We've had so many opportunities to spend with our families lately, which has been so awesome.  My mom and Derek's mom both came for week-long visits soon after Paul was born.  It was so nice to have their help as I adjusted to having two kids.  Anna especially loved getting to play with her grandmas!

While Karry was here, we were all able to go watch two of Kyle's rugby games.  So fun!  Grandma Karry bought cute BYU clothes for the kids to wear, so we were all one BYU-blue family!  Side note: Anna refers to everything BYU (the "Y" symbol, the rugby games) as "Go Cougars!" haha.

Two weekends ago was Kyle and Amanda's graduation, so we had Derek's parents and grandparents here for that.  Naturally, Anna and Paul were spoiled with love and attention.  :)

Over graduation weekend, we were also able to attend the Payson Temple open house, which was really special.  All temples are beautiful, but I think this one is especially gorgeous.  I am so excited that it will be "our temple."  It is only about 10 minutes from our house.
Anna had to smell all the pretty flowers!
