Here I am playing catch up again. This post is going to be entirely pictures with captions. Because unless it was documented with a picture, I can't remember that far back. :)

Paul is now 9 months old as of yesterday! He has changed so much since my last post about him. He learned to scoot-crawl, actual crawl, clap, wave, pull himself up to a standing position, and cruise around the furniture. He's been a busy boy!
Paul started scooting/army crawling when he was about 6 1/2 months old. He did that for the longest time. I felt like I was telling people, "He'll be crawling any day!" for like two months haha. Even when he learned to get up on his hands and knees, he still preferred the scooting for several more weeks. His little scoot-crawl was so cute. We dubbed it "the baby-sea-turtle." He really looked just like a little sea turtle pushing its way to the ocean haha.
He finally decided actual-crawling was more efficient the week before turning 8-months old. And like two days later, he started pulling himself up on all the furniture. We lowered his crib to the middle position when he started crawling, and not even a week later, we had to move it to the lowest position because he was standing up! Crazy kid. Anna was not a fan of him learning to stand because she used to be able to put things on the coffee table or couch and he couldn't get them, but now that territory is no longer safe. In the last couple weeks, he's started to cruise around the furniture.

Paul learned to clap at about 8 months old. It is so darn cute. And just two weeks ago, Derek was leaving for work and Paul started waving back! So sweet! He is still almost always happy and greets you with the biggest smile whenever you talk to him.
Paul has grown quite a bit, mostly length-wise and not weight-wise. He weighs about 18 1/2 lbs and fits mostly 12-month clothes. His hair has changed....it's gotten lighter and it seems softer and doesn't stick out in funny spots anymore. He's had three haircuts already, and it's about time for another trim. He has just the two teeth on the bottom so far.
7 months old
He still loves food. He's pretty much over the baby food thing and only wants real food now. We have yet to find something he doesn't like...although, I have noticed he likes to have a variety. If he had peas for lunch, he doesn't want peas again for dinner. He literally starts yelling at you anytime he sees someone with food and will continue throwing a fit until he gets some too.
Paul loves bath time. He thinks it's the greatest thing ever to splash with Anna, even if she's getting water in his face, which she usually does. He also loves putting his hand under the stream of water when the tub is filling up.
8 1/2 months old
Paul really dislikes getting his diaper changed and getting dressed. He doesn't like to be held still for any amount of time. I usually have to pin him down with one arm while quickly changing the diaper with the other hand, and even then, he manages to roll over and escape more often than not. It's not unusual for him to be crawling around in just socks and an unbuttoned onsie because I just decided it wasn't worth the battle to get his pants back on. :)
Paul is finally starting to like books. Kind-of. Certain ones. He really likes Brown Bear, Brown Bear and will read that one over and over. Most others he will sit through sometimes, but sometimes not. He figured out turning pages, so that gives him something to do which helps. Again, he just doesn't like to sit still for more than a minute.
He loves peek-a-boo. LOVES peek-a-boo. He usually laughs his head off, especially when Anna plays it with him. Sometimes he will initiate the game and duck his head behind a couch cushion or pillow and then pop back up with a big smile on his face. It is the cutest thing ever.
Some of Paul's favorite toys these days are his little piano, cars, Anna's train that moves on it's own (it's so funny to watch him chase it around the house), the door stoppers, his nightlight, and the cords for the curtain blinds. He also loves it when Anna pushes him around on the little Chuggington train.

He doesn't really like the stroller...I have to bring graham crackers to keep him happy on our walks. He doesn't love his car seat either, which makes me nervous for our 11 and 15-hour road trips over the holidays. :)
Paul is still loves to cuddle, especially right when he wakes up. When I pick him up from his crib, he immediately snuggles into my shoulder for several minutes. And he still lets me rock him to sleep, which I may wish to change someday, but not today. :) I love the baby snuggles. He also gives open-mouthed kisses. At least, we think they're kisses. Maybe he's just trying to eat our faces.
We sure love our sweet, happy boy! Here's some more pictures from last three months. :)
